Race Organizers Set Date for ‘The Run for Help’

It’s called a Run for Help in honor of two Capital Region women who lost their lives to domestic violence. Liza Ellen Warner and Nikki L. Hart died in separate instances at the hands of their batterers.

For two area groups, the Run for Help and other events throughout the year help raise funds for local domestic violence services  programs and to raise awareness about this important issue.

Sunday, June 12th is the date for The Run for Help, a family-friendly 5K Run/Walk organized by the Family and Friends of Liza Ellen Warner Association, Inc. and the Nikki L. Hart Children’s Memorial Fund. The race is a great day of fun and fitness for a great cause.

Proceeds from the event go to the Unity House domestic violence services program and the Nikki L. Hart Children’s Memorial Fund.

Online race registration will open as the event date gets closer.
