BOOKKEEPER (AP) (Administration/Part time – 8
hrs)
Responsibilities include gathering documents for
payment; coding vouchers and preparing related
paperwork; processing checks; verifying and entering
journal vouchers, accounts payable vouchers or other
accounting data of a recurring nature into computer
system; general bookkeeping and record maintenance.
Must be detail oriented, AS in Accounting or
equivalent preferred, two years experience in
bookkeeping, Excel a must.
CASE MANAGER (CHAP, DV Services, 14th
Street/Part time, SARS, SARN/part time, TAS)
Responsibilities include engaging in ongoing,
regular in interactions and providing supportive
counseling with program consumers in a manner that
is in keeping with agency mission and service
philosophy, completing compliance activities,
producing final reports on outcomes as required.
Requirements include previous human service
experience.
CHILDCARE TEACHER (USP)
Responsibilities include applying and promoting
child development practices in the classroom.
Establishing and maintaining a caring, learning
environment that advances physical and intellectual
competence as well as the social and emotional
development of children. Requirements include an
Associates degree in early childhood education, BA
preferred, experience in childcare a must.
COUNSELOR (Shelter/part-time, Respite)
Responsibilities include carrying a caseload,
developing plans for consumers, conducting
problem-solving and crisis intervention techniques
and ensuring that all associated paperwork is
complete. Requirements include previous human
service experience, mental health preferred.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE EDUCATOR/COUNSELOR (DV
Services/Part time)
Provide education, counseling and support to adult
victims of domestic violence and their children.
Participants of the program are consumers in
Emergency Services residential and non-residential
programs. Experience working with children in a
therapeutic setting preferred. This project will
require an individual that has experience with
program development as well as the ability to
research national trends on best practices working
with children who are exposed to domestic violence.
PEER COUNSELOR (CHAP/Part Time, TAS/Part
Time)
Responsibilities include providing supportive
counseling including, but not limited to
establishing rapport, helping consumers identify
feelings and needs, providing encouragement, and
giving positive feedback.
PEER COORDINATOR (CHAP)
Responsibilities include the oversight of both the
peer program and the young adult case management
program. Requirements include experience or related
education, supervisory experience preferred
SPECIAL EVENTS COORDINATOR (Administration):
Responsibilities include planning and executing
special events, chronicling events through
photography and newsletter stories, and representing
Unity House externally. Requirements include strong
writing skills, comfort and/or experience soliciting
donations, excellent organizational skills. Must
have driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Experience organizing events and using Raiser’s Edge
software strongly preferred. Full or part-time,
hours can be flexible for the right candidate.
1:1 AIDES & TEACHER ASSISTANTS (Unity
Sunshine Program)
Responsibilities include regular interaction with
children in a classroom setting, must like working
with children and be patient and flexible. High
School Diploma required, Classes or experience in
early childhood education a plus.
