CASE MANAGER (CHAP, DV Services, 8th
Street/part time, 504 Res/part time, Supported
Housing/part time)
Responsibilities include engaging in ongoing,
regular in interactions and providing supportive
counseling with program consumers in a manner that
is in keeping with agency mission and service
philosophy, completing compliance activities,
producing final reports on outcomes as required.
Requirements include previous human service
experience.
CHILDCARE TEACHER (USP)
Responsibilities include applying and promoting
child development practices in the classroom.
Establishing and maintaining a caring, learning
environment that advances physical and intellectual
competence as well as the social and emotional
development of children. Requirements include an
Associates degree in early childhood education, BA
preferred, experience in childcare a must.
COUNSELOR (Shelter/part-time, Respite)
Responsibilities include carrying a caseload,
developing plans for consumers, conducting
problem-solving and crisis intervention techniques
and ensuring that all associated paperwork is
complete. Requirements include previous human
service experience, mental health preferred.
GRANT WRITER (Grants)
Responsibilities include: Researching prospective
grants, writing and managing grant proposals,
monitoring and reporting status of grants and
managing tracking system. Must be detail oriented
and demonstrated writing skills, Bachelors degree or
equivalent and 3 years grant writing experience
required.
MICA CASE MANAGER (part time)
Responsibilities include engaging in ongoing,
regular interactions and providing supportive
counseling with program consumers in a manner that
is in keeping with agency mission and service
philosophy, completing compliance activities,
producing final reports on outcomes as required and
training and orienting agency employees and/or
external groups as needed. Requirements include a HS
diploma, BA preferred or equivalent Human Services
Experience (advanced MICA, residential counseling or
case management experience required).
PEER COUNSELOR (CHAP/part time,TAS/part time)
Responsibilities include providing supportive
counseling including, but not limited to
establishing rapport, helping consumers identify
feelings and needs, providing encouragement, and
giving positive feedback.
SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER (Unity Sunshine
Program/part time)
Provide special education services to children that
are in keeping with best practices of the field and
using age appropriate materials based on the
interests and learning style of each child. In
collaboration with the child-care staff, manage a
classroom or provide services at an off site
collaboration or in a home. Educate, care and
advocate for all children enrolled in the program.
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education plus
provisional New York State certification required
(or ability to be certified).
