Unity Sunshine Program and News Channel 13’s Kids Who Care

Unity House’s Unity Sunshine Program was delighted to see a local teen who has a huge heart for children’s literacy profiled on News Channel 13’s Thirteen Kids Who Care.

Kristin Connolly is no stranger to the Unity Sunshine Program, where she has worked diligently to create a picture book library for the kids who attend Unity Sunshine.  The program, which serves kids ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age uses books throughout the day.  A favorite time of day for the four year olds is story time, where a teacher or volunteer will sit with some books and read aloud to the children.  Thanks to Kristin’s hard work, the library at Unity Sunshine is a welcoming space neatly organized and has PLENTY of books.
