We had to see him for ourselves.
Collar City Sweets, a new shop in downtown Troy, is raffling off the yummiest thing yet: a giant chocolate Santa Claus. He’s three feet tall, weighs 25 pounds and is entirely edible. Well, except the glasses. Don’t try to eat Santa’s eyeglasses.
The Collar City Sweet Shoppe is on Third Street in downtown Albany, not far from O’Brien’s pub. It’s an adorable shop filled with all kinds of treats- from decadent truffles and chocolates, to jellybeans in EVERY flavor, to sweets and novelties from yesteryear.
Owners Amy and Ray Farrigan wanted to give back and mark the holiday season in a special way. That’s when they came up with the idea to auction off Santa. Raffle tickets are only $1 each and all proceeds will benefit Unity House. We could not be more honored by such sweet generosity.
When you stop in to the Collar City Sweet Shoppe, be sure to get your raffle ticket, don’t miss out on the chocolate covered pretzels, say hello to the Farrigan family and let them know we sent you. And if you win the giant, chocolate Santa, be sure to snap a photo for us!
