Unity House Goes RED for Heart Health

Unity House was a sea of red on Friday, February 5th.

Staff, guests and visitors were seen wearing red in honor of Wear Red day to promote heart health, especially in women. Heart disease affects women differently than men. The American Heart Association launched the Go Red campaign to raise awareness about women’s heart health and the corresponding risk of stroke and heart attack.

Tips from the American Heart Association for heart health include:
Be Active
Healthy Eating
Stop Smoking
Know your numbers: blood pressure and cholesterol
Prevent and/or manage diabetes

Taking charge of your health can go a long way, for your heart and the rest of you!
