Unity House’s Unity Sunshine Program is proud to form a team for the Capital Region Buddy Walk. The Buddy Walk, set for Sunday, September 27th in Schenectady’s Central Park, is to raise awareness of, and support for, individuals with Down Syndrome. The Unity House team for the Buddy Walk is made up of staff and friends from the Unity Sunshine Program, a network of preschools in Troy and Albany, NY.

The Unity Sunshine program provides early intervention and pre-school developmental services in speech/language, physical and occupational therapy, psychological consultation and general skills. These services are delivered to children from birth to five in three settings: a traditional preschool and toddler group center-based program (which includes integrated classes), other preschool/daycare programs, as well as in homes.

You can join the Unity Sunshine team to show your support or make a donation to the team here.

The Buddy Walk thanks you for your support of Down Syndrome Aim High Resource Center, a division of the Center for Disability Services. DSAHRC provides parent-to-parent and professional services and support to individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the professionals involved in their care.  Donations help support the services provided by Down Syndrome Aim High Resource Center as well as the National Down Syndrome Society’s national advocacy initiatives that were established to benefit and serve people with Down syndrome and their families.
