Ambassador Program: meaningful work experience

Northeast Career Planning at Unity House (NCP)

Have you seen the Unity House Ambassadors in downtown Troy?

Maybe you saw them helping out at Summer Square, the Troy Waterfront Farmer’s Market, or directing visitors on their way to the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. Ambassadors are young adults enrolled in Unity House’s Community Ambassador Program. It is paid work that offers a flexible schedule, generally part-time and on weekends.  The program offers job training, coaching, and work experience that can serve as a springboard to future employment. Feedback has shown that peer support and coaching are invaluable. The program is designed for those aged 18-24 and who are currently not enrolled in school, underemployed, or unemployed.

The Ambassador Program is made possible through grant funding and falls under the umbrella of Northeast Career Planning at Unity House. If you or someone you know would like to learn more about applying to the Ambassador Program, please call Moira Geracitano at (518) 274-2607 x4135 or visit our website for the job posting.
