Youth Programming

Unity House offers options for children and teenagers

Youth programming at Unity House is varied by site and season, for different age groups. Unity House also partners with other community-based organizations to engage with youth. Read about Unity House options below.

Youth programing is funded through a variety of sources, including donations. If you would like to help sustain and enhance youth programs, please consider a charitable donation to Unity House.

  • NY State Traveling Summer Camp

We look forward to welcoming families with children ages 6-12 to our summer camp. Registration does not open before April 1, 2023

Our NY State Traveling Summer Camp is for school age children, ages 6-12. The camp meets each day at Unity House’s Front Door location, our community resource center located, at 2431 Sixth Avenue in Troy.

This pick-up and drop-off point at the base of Hoosick Street is convenient for both families and staff who will lead the children on each day’s adventure: the travel!

The camp is unique in that it takes children to the free fun that our beautiful area has to offer. With counselors, children will explore state parks, visit museums, make arts and crafts, and visit fun and enriching spots. Cost of the camp is based on a sliding scale, with some scholarships available.

Our summer day camp serves school age children, ages 6 to 12. If you have questions, please reach out to our Front Door location and ask about Unity House’s Traveling Summer Camp: (518) 274-2607

Please note that registration for camp does not start before April 1st.

If you would like to help support summer fun for children, please consider making a gift to the Unity House Summer Camp.  You’ll not only give children a summer of fun, you’ll be helping to broaden their horizons.  On behalf of those we serve, especially the children, thank you for your consideration!
