Working Together this Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving cornucopia

The holiday season is a time of warmth, reflection, and giving. It’s when we gather with loved ones, share meals, and give thanks for the blessings in our lives. But for many of our neighbors, this season also brings quiet worry—about how to afford groceries, how to provide a holiday meal, or how to make the season feel special for their children.

At Unity House, we see these struggles every day. We meet hardworking families doing their best, yet still falling short—especially as the cost of food continues to rise. Many don’t qualify for public assistance, but still face empty cupboards and impossible choices.

That’s where your kindness makes all the difference.

With your support, we can ensure that no one in our community has to go without this holiday season. Our Thanksgiving Food Packages provide everything needed for a full, festive meal. And through our Community Meal Program and Food Pantry, we offer nourishment and dignity to those who need it—not just during the holidays, but all year long.

Thanks to our strong partnerships with the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York and the Commission on Economic Opportunity, we’re able to stretch every dollar you give. That means your generosity goes further—feeding more families, reaching more people, and spreading more hope.

This work is only possible because of compassionate people like you.

Your gift—whether a one-time donation or a recurring contribution—helps us feed hungry neighbors, ease the burden on struggling parents, and bring joy to children who might otherwise go without. You can give by mailing your donation in the enclosed envelope or by visiting our website.

Together, we can make this season brighter for so many. Thank you for opening your heart and standing with us. Your generosity brings more than food—it brings comfort, connection, and the reminder that no one is alone.

Wishing you and your loved ones a season filled with gratitude, warmth, and togetherness. May your Thanksgiving be rich with joy—and may your generosity bring comfort and nourishment to neighbors who need it most.
