Volunteers from Troy location prepare Thanksgiving Feast

Chefs, staff and friends at the nearby Hilton Garden Inn on Hoosick Street in Troy will prepare a full Thanksgiving meal to be served in the Unity House dining room on November 22nd.

This is not the first time the group has pitched in. In the past, they’ve helped with meals, barbecues and special occasions. Their help is a great source of support for staff who work in the Unity House kitchen, which serves a free community meal every weekday. Sometimes, as many as 150 people stop by for lunch. The kitchen sources food largely from the Regional Food Bank and donations so to have a professional crew arrive to cook from scratch is a real treat.
