Heroic- Every Day

Staff and friends from A Child’s Place Support Hero Walk

Autism, a developmental condition of variable severity that is characterized by challenges in social interaction and communication, is usually diagnosed in early childhood. It is considered a spectrum upon which a child might be impacted a little or a lot. Staff at A Child’s Place are experts at serving children of all abilities, so there was no hesitation when it came time to sign up for the Hero Walk in support of children and their families who are on the spectrum

It was a great day of walking and community at Schenectady’s Central Park, where many gathered together on September 22nd. Organized by the Autism Society of the Greater Capital Region, the group works toward what all parents want for their children: a society where all individuals on the autism spectrum are fully participating members of the community.
