The Kathryn Allen Building: fun for all ages
Unity House’s Kathryn Allen Building at 6 102nd Street will host a free, community event for youth of all ages. There will be a bounce castles, games, a basketball free throw contest, and more. The goal is to showcase the Youth Center at the site, as well as promote the PEACE Project.
Promoting PEACE among those most at risk
The PEACE program is designed for youth ages 12 -17 and focuses on preventing and reducing youth gun and gang violence. PEACE stands for prevention, education, awareness, community, and empowerment. Working within Unity House and operating out of our Domestic Violence Services program, the PEACE program has access to the Youth Center. The space is a sanctuary where youth can have safe, engaging, and inclusive experiences with their peers and adults.
The event on Saturday, June 17th is free. All community members are welcome.
