Thanksgiving is a time to gather with family and friends, share a meal, and reflect on what matters most. It’s also a reminder that many of our neighbors are facing difficult choices every day, especially as the cost of groceries and household essentials continues to rise.
At Unity House, we see the growing need firsthand. Families who are working hard to make ends meet often find themselves struggling to keep food on the table. Many don’t qualify for assistance programs, yet still face impossible decisions between paying bills, buying groceries, and meeting other basic needs.
This Thanksgiving, we are working to ensure that families across our community can enjoy a holiday meal and the comfort that comes with it.
Through our Thanksgiving Food Packages, Community Meal Program, and Food Pantry, Unity House provides nourishment, support, and dignity to individuals and families throughout the holiday season and all year long. Thanks to our partnership with the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York and our Working Together Program collaboration with the Commission on Economic Opportunity and Capital Roots, we’re able to maximize every dollar and serve more people in need.
But we can’t do it alone.
Community support makes this work possible. Whether through a financial contribution, a food donation, or simply helping spread the word, every act of generosity helps strengthen our community and ensures that fewer families go without.
Together, we can help fill tables, ease burdens, and remind our neighbors that they are not alone.
From all of us at Unity House, thank you for being part of a community that cares. We wish you and your loved ones a Thanksgiving filled with warmth, gratitude, and togetherness.
