Tech Valley Young Professionals Network Delivers

Working with United Way for children in need

Remember how exciting it was to buy school supplies as September drew near?

For families in need the exhaustive lists of school supplies can be just that- exhausting. There is often little room in the household budget for needed school supplies.

Here’s where the Tech Valley Young Professionals Network of the Capital Region Chamber have gone above and beyond: working with local businesses across the Capital Region, the group collected school supplies for Unity House and others. By delivering to Family Neighborhood Resource Centers like the one Unity House operates with the support of the United Way of the Greater Capital Region, parents have access to the school supplies their children need. On the first day of school in September, children will arrive prepared for academic success.

Unity House is grateful for partnerships with the United Way and for all they do for the Capital Region. Special thanks to the Tech Valley Young Professionals Network, especially Whitney and Monica who served as co-chairs for a successful school supply drive. Their caring generosity and hard work remind us of why the Capital Region is a great place to live and work.

Thank you for making life better!
